A J Hawk back with Packers! The five years deal end today. Hawk's agent, said that the linebacker signed a five-year deal with the Packers the very next day after he was released in cost cutting move.
A J Hawk to be back with his teammates and an awesome organization.
Hawk number 5 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, was scheduled to earn $10 million this year. When the Packers released him, hoping they could bring Hawk back at a reduced salary.
General Manager of packers stated that decision was from the business side of the game and they expected Hawk to return back to Packers and hawk had an option to negotiate with any of the teams.
Hawk, despite his extendingly high status and hard work, started his 2010 season as a role player and ended as a toper of a Super Bowl-champion defense.
After seasonending injuries to inside linebackers Nick Barnett and Brandon Chillar, A J again became a appetizer and played a critical role in the Packers' push to their Super Bowl victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hawk remained as one of the team's captains throughout.
