Fighting all Flurries

I woke up this morning to an occurance that was rare a few years ago.  Snow.  My lawn became a resting place for snowfall and my backyard a winter wonderland.  The birds seemed to love it.  They flocked together feeding from the frozen ground.  See where I grew up we have maybe two snowfalls a year.  A dusting of white ice laced snow to deter us from driving. Nothing as significant as what has been happening here.  So what is up with the changing weather?  Significant snowfalls,
