waterWater is created when two Hydrogen molecules are bonded with an Oxygen molecule. It creates something as simple as a drop of water to something as tumultuous as a rising flood.  Each day water affects our lives.  Our human bodies are at least 60% of water.  So many lifeforms require water from the amoeba to elephant.  So why do we require water and what benefits do we gain from it?

Water allows cells in the body to function properly.  Our blood, bones, brain, and muscles require water in order to function properly.  Our bodies are wonderful creations, better than any computer, it know when it is need of water and will ask for it in different ways:

Sweating.  We lose water through our pores from sweat. Think of sweat as the human air conditioner cooling off the body and alleviating excess heat.

Fatigue.  Water is responsible for the transmission of water throughout the body to cells. Our which circulates water and other nutrients is composed of water.  Our muscles and joints are made from water.  So movements can be difficult when there is no water available.

Dry skin.  Chapped lips and dry skin are signals that the body is in need of water.  Think of the body as a command post rationing out water.  It decides the amount of water needed for the body and where a certain amount is needed.  Only the internal organs need water first and so the other parts will have to wait until more water is available.

Thirst.  I know obviously if you are thirsty you think I need a drink.  But think about what you pick up first is it a soda, juice, or milk.  The body has to pull the water from the rest of components in order to use it.  So go right for the source WATER.   And the rule of thumb here is if you are thirsty you have already become dehydrated

So the benefits for drinking water are:

Healthy body from your muscles, brain, blood, bones, and skin remember they are made from water.

Weight loss because the signals for hunger and thirst in the body are confusing.

Better concentration on tasks, brain is made of mostly water.

Fewer headaches, the brain is made of water and one of the symptoms for dehydration is a headache.

Fewer mood swings, remember that water in essence carries nutrients in the body that includes Vitamin D and neurotransmitters in the brain.

Reduced risks of cancer, Think about it healthier cells mean a lower risk of these abnormal cells being created and more immunity to these cells.

So it may be a tall order to drink this for some.  But think of the benefits in the long run.
