Love vs. Intellect!

Since ages these two contrary words have been a source of argument for many poets and writers. Allah has bequeathed mankind with two gifts. By exhibiting his Rehmat and beauty He inculcated Love in us and by asserting a question “Am I not you Lord” we were endowed with the sense of intellect.

To nurture His love Allah gave us a beating heart and to acquire knowledge He gave us a keen brain. Therefore the sustenance of brain is knowledge and sustenance of heart is Love. Love unaided lead to nonstandard paths and it’s the knowledge that maintains an Equilibrium. Knowledge alone leads to arrogance and pride while love restores modesty and humanity.

Love and Knowledge are inseparable; a person deficient in any of this has more chances of falling in extremes.

The demand of true love is to abandon everything and striving hard attaining closeness of beloved unconditionally while intellect is conditional in choosing any path or doing anything to avoid any type of harm. Love has no bounds and intellect has limits.

Love says I have returned having kissed the house of beloved while the intellect says there’s no path that leads to the beloved. Love brings a feeling of discomfort and pain while seeking betterment is the quality of Intellect.

Intellect finds the path but is never able to reach the destination while Love carries one on the wings to reach the destination.

However if one rides the mount of love he will never stumble in the dark and reach his goal. When the person’s utmost wishes are impossible, those are then rendered possible by Love.

The intellect is never free of thoughts and reflection,

                                                                                   Make love the basis of action!
