A chance to make dreams come true

 

Human body is a properly organized structure so that all the necessary functions are performed well.  All the Organs work systematically for the proper functioning of body, and brain is responsible for the management of nerves that control all the actions of our body. So in order to get things right and work efficiently organization and management are the fundamental things to be followed.

Why I mentioned scientific way of management and organization? It’s because I have learned the art of managing things and having an organized way of work and lifestyle by science.

Once during my Chemistry class I was taken over by this random question and I asked my teacher that, “Do we have to learn management skills if we want to be scientists in future”? To which she replied, “These skills are only for the students who are learning or having graduation in business administration, economics or any other related subject”. And afterwards she scolded me for asking irrelevant questions in class. Being a science student my mind is always asking for reasons to a particular thing that has been proven false or wrong. So I went on google in search for it. I didn’t find any specific answer to my question that definitely meant that I had to search harder for my question.

My vision was getting clearer as I searched the tactics of some scientists to do research.

At the end I was totally convinced that a good scientist or a researcher must know how to manage the tools and methods of research and how to deal with the things to have a great organized research project.

To show what management is good for; we first have to take a look at what mismanagement is bad for.

During a science exhibition in my college I planned a project and presented the full paper work to my teacher and also to my fellow students. Most of them laughed at me because I just gave them just the scattered outline of theory of my project but I neither implemented on that nor did I give them organized proper outline so that we could start working on it. My teacher just told me that she has already chosen a topic for research that surely meant that I couldn’t take part in the exhibition now. That day was the day in my life I thought I have lost an opportunity to show my skills. And that was just because of my own small mistake but that had a big impact on my research career. That mistake was that I wasn’t able to manage the theory and practical work together, and I wasn’t even ready for the implementation of ideas. So the first set back of mismanagement is that you can loose your in hand project in just few minutes by receiving insulting as well as humiliating comments side by side.

One of my interests is of becoming a writer of a play. I searched for an opportunity to prove my skills. I heard of one playwriting audition in my city and I planned to show my play there. I emailed them and they appreciated the synopsis I provided them. They gave me a deadline on which I had to submit a whole play. I was very excited of this opportunity and so I sat relaxed because I felt that I can do it on the mentioned deadline. I emailed them the whole play on the deadline. I was satisfied with my work and I was then waiting for a call from them to start that play project. I did receive a call and that call was a nightmare. They told me that I have missed out four major parts of the play and I even didn’t end it up correctly. My condition got worse when they told me that I have also emailed them a copy of my science assignment instead of full play.

I was amazed and I wasn’t able to understand that what was done wrong. Then I search for the folders I saved the play in my computer and I was shocked to see that I did save the play but it was in the science folder and more than that I also did save another file in the songs folder. I had nothing left but to shed tears on a disaster that I did to myself.  

This was the second thing I experience of doing things in an irregular manner and also that was the result of my mismanagement in the computer folders.

 

The reason of stating my own experiences is to tell everyone who will read this essay that each one of us face these situations in our lives from time to time either daily life routine or professional routine , but we are not able to sort out things that are responsible for such situations. I am no manager. I have not even studied management as subject but there was a need to learn the basics. If I knew the tactics of getting things and doing them in a proper and organized way I won’t be regretting today of loosing an opportunity regarding my career. Furthermore I won’t be shedding tears on loosing a chance to be a play writer.

 

Management is the key of organization of any subject or any matter. It is a tool to get things right at right time.

 

Career and professional life have a great influence from our past student or social life. A person who is able to manage little things in life style and is aware of the benefits he could gain by them is a person we can define as a successful person. Because when that person will enter his professional life he will definitely apply the techniques to do better and further more he will also introduce new ventures of profit and economic boost up for himself as well as for the company he is working for.

 

Skills of management are not just confined to the students who are studying this subject as major syllabus of their degree or the people working in corporate and business industries, but it’s also for every single person or company around. No matter you are social entrepreneurs, or running a non-profit organization. You can never get your goals if you do not set an idea or an outline for your achievement. From an infant care by her mother to the studies, till graduation or any other further level if things are not done properly then the future success is not sure.

 

Good ideals and sources of management are the reason of social and economical harmony and structured result of better organization. It enables a person to sort out the solutions of problems in a better way, because if the things are present in scattered manner then a person first need to get things organized and maybe after that the time is not in favor as before. Management is not just for business but for every single organized way of lifestyle and social culture. This can only be realized when somebody face a setback in mismanagement as I did.

 

We need management in every thing around us. Here I am sharing some of the aspects of normal life in which we need management.  

 

Time management:

Starting from primary level at school this is a big question for parents that how they will teach their kids to manage time so that they could gain much benefit from education as well as they be able to carry on other healthy activities. Time table is set up in schools and colleges to tell its pupil the worth of time and the usefulness of the time they have rather than the time that is gone or that has to come in future. In high school a student is much aware of these statistics of time so he starts making up his own study schedule in which he also leaves space of time to carry on his hobbies, sports and other extra curricular activities. As we move our eyes on the pages of history we might not find the time tables of different personalities or successful people in a specific field but we can understand by looking at their achievements that they have a managed and balanced life. In my opinion a successful person is the one who is good in the majors he studies, and who is able to boost up his talent as well. And this can only be achieved if a person is able to manage time. Time management benefits a person with a balanced and successful life.  

 

Attitude management:

A typical definition of management is to get things together. Officially there are many other types in this regard but I think to understand the vast term we need to mange our attitudes first. Attitude includes anger, humbleness, emotions, and social behavior etc. you must know where to use your smile and where to use your harsh words. If somebody is affecting your dignity at a place of your work your attitude must not be humble with him. You’d either stay quiet and ignore or just leave that place. I know this is a little bit dramatic but in my opinion this can create a lot more difference in a business environment. This will help in creating professional environment and less stressed condition of the professionals and then they will do much better in their jobs or business.

 

Tasks management:

This includes that what type of task are you doing and what criteria are you designing for that specific task. For example if you are planning for a project about fashion event you must keep in mind all the necessary information about fashion. If your specified field is something else than fashion then do not bother to step into what you knew not. You should do something that you know and you believe that you can manage that task in a better way. In 21st century we are facing lots of problems of unemployment and the main reason for that is; people are much influenced on the attraction of other fields than theirs. They step into that particular field which hinders the way of the people who have specialized in that field, so task management is required to have balanced employment environment so that each qualified person is given a chance to prove themselves. Tasks must be assigned accordingly.

 

Budget management:

Either you are a house wife, mom or you are a qualified businessman if you are not able to manage your income and budget then you will end up with no money and poverty one day. Destruction of many societies, nations and companies is also somehow because they are not able to manage their costs, income, and expenditure in a way they must be managed. Budget management is not just necessary at those high levels but it should be taught to young people who are the future of this world. If they are not able to cope with the needs then they will be facing same problems as many of us are facing today.

 

After these four major managements I would like to draw a pre-conclusion that is

 

Time management -à Attitude management -à Tasks management -à Budget management -à SUCCESSS…

 

 

Being a science student I would like to give a comparison of certain management criteria I learned during my research and scientific studies.

  10. 10)Success

 

In my opinion each one of us must know the basics of managing things around because this is the only way we can have stable life.

 

I am engaged in so many activities both educational and extra curricular, and I need management skills in myself to cope with the demands and doings in my social life. I am just eighteen right now but Soon I will be entering in professional and practical world and I need myself to be prepared for that and the basic and the major thing to learn is management. Either I enter science field or any other field I have to make a certain schedule or outline for my tasks and work to be successful. Moreover I need to mange my talent and extra curricular activities all along with my professional career if I want to be successful in life. And as I am girl I have to take many other things in mind as well that someday I will get married and have kids so I have to manage a life in a way that is beneficial for me as well as for my future generations. Because no matter what I feel I am responsible for the future of kids I will have someday. And someday when they will be reading this essay they will find themselves successful in their respective fields. Along with my professional life in future I would also be responsible for my personal and family life so I need to manage things accordingly.  

 

Management gives us professional success, social boost up, economical stability, personal family life satisfaction and sometimes it can also give us a chance to make our dreams come true. Try to be managed if you want to be successful.
