Mazda recalls over 50,000 cars
Written by Carly Greene
Mazda Car Company has recalled over 50,000 cars stating that spiders have getting into the fuel vents and fuel tanks. The pressure from the eggs and webs on the fuel vents have caused the fuel tanks to crack and break. The models most affected are the Mazda 6 series from 2008-2010. There has not been a recall for 2011 cars as of yet.
The spider's web is considered one of the strongest of construction materials in nature almost comparable to steel. No spider related injuries have been reported. Customers will receive letters in the mail in the middle of this month and are asked to have their cars inspected. Mazda asks if you have any questions to contact them on their toll free number available on their website.
