Calcium is excellent for bone health but what other benefits does it hold for us?

Cancer fighting: Recent studies have shown a connection to a decreased risk in colorectal rectal cancer and the powerful combination of Calcium and Vitamin D. 

Blood clotting:  Produces clotting agents

Nerve Health:  Provides normal function for the brain and spinal cord  

Muscle tone:   Most of the calcium based foods are a good source of protein which enable to body to use energy longer than foods rich in carbohydrates. 

Foods rich in Calcium:  Dairy products such as Milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, broccoli, kale, tofu, and food fortified with calcium such as some fruit juices on the market.
