Ocean City Maryland

OCMD or OC is resort in Atlantic Ocean Worester Country, Maryland, United States. It is famous because a large number of people visit it in there vocations. About 350000 people visit it every year in summer season. The total population of city is 7200 approx.

In 1889 first resort was constructed on this island is by Isaac Coffin a business man. Before him there was property of an Englishman Thomas Fenwick. People come here for fishing, and to collect the sea shells.

Before 1870 the Ocean City was known as the ladies Resort of Ocean. After that large companies invested in the development of this city for tourism.

Ocean City is located at 38°23′29″N 75°04′11″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.4 square miles (94.2 km²), of which, 4.6 square miles (11.8 km²) of it is land and 31.8 square miles (82.4 km²) of it (87.47%) is water.

Ocean City's location in the middle of the East Coast affords it a mild humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and mild, wet winters. Summer highs often reach into the 80s, but ocean breezes keep the immediate coast cooler than inland location
