Garlic is found in many cuisines all around the world. Garlic is actually a member of the lily family. It contains a pungent odor and is flavorful. A couples of gloves chopped and added to soup makes for a nutrient-rich dish.
Nutrients available in garlic are Manganese, Vitamin B, and Vitamin C. It can be used to kill bacteria and fungi. Garlic has been used to cure staph and salmonella. Garlic can be used to lower blood pressure and cholesterol. It contains immune boosting compounds that enable it to fight some cancers.
When cooking with garlic add at the end of the cooking time prefereably the last five minutes on medium heat.
