Psychology of People and Media

Media, a great monster, plays an important role in the life of nearly every person of today’s world. They can change the mind of people from one thing to another. They can make any event to best of the best and others to of no use although of much important in nature.

I have heard that one can find news and information of one’s own choice from media but now I am thinking this statement to b false. The new statement will be that the media can change the mind thinking and psychology of people. They can do this by giving extra ordinary importance to any event which in general doesn’t have any importance. Vice versa, they can change the minds of people from an important event to fake event of entertainment. I have found all this in the case of Raymond Davis and Cricket World Cup.

There was a day when I heard in the evening that Raymond Davis was released by Government and Special Plane from America took him from Pakistan. The whole media were blaming Punjab Government ordinarily and Federal Government especially for this case. Pakistani nation has taken a stand for this case. All authors wrote different columns in newspapers and analysts were discussing this in all current affairs programs at all channels. Politicians were also taken part in such debate. All parliamentarians of Pakistan People’s Party were at home and rejected to comment on this case at that day. I have also written an article on such with title shameful act of relatives of victims of Lahore murders on my website. I was considering that this will make a way towards revolution in Pakistan and people will take part in this revolution as their emotions were fully destroyed in this case.

Every day, there was a gathering of people demanding justification of release of Raymond Davis in front of Parliament, but there was no one to explain all this as they don’t have any valid point in this. ® General Hamid Gul, Imran Khan and many others have protested along with their followers but all in vain.

Suddenly there happened a mighty change in the minds of people of Pakistan. Pakistan in the world cup 2011lost match against New Zealand and weapons of media stands towards them. All people forgot the case of Raymond Davis and start blaming Pakistani Players along with media for poor performance in last few overs. Then the match with Australia started and whole nation came to roads to support the team. Fortunately, Pakistan had defeated the world favorite team of last decade and place a name in top teams and most probably as winner ones. Whole nation were expecting to be miracle of World Cup in favor of Pakistan when Pakistan got an easy victory over West Indies. Then the media war between India and Pakistan started to their best when india and Pakistan were against each other in Semifinal. Struggle of Pakistani team in Semifinal with india has fully changed the mind of Pakistani nation then all of sudden when the team lost the match people were too much dishearten. They couldn’t believe this but still they take it as luck for india on their winning as poor fielding will lost the Paksitani team in their match.

But think of one thing after that day people again change their minds and started asking about Raymond Davis. So what happen in these days of world cup knock out scenes? All this was done by Media and this saying that media can change the minds of people is worth true.
